Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June. Doors open 9am at the Palm Court entrance of Alexandra Palace. Talks are from 10 until 2, when the hacking begins. Hacking finishes 2pm on the Sunday with presentations starting at 3pm - huge gig with very cool band starts at 7pm and we'll be all done by 9pm.
Official directions Google Map with walking route and local facilities (note: there are nearer facilities in Muswell Hill available by walking west through the park that are not on this map)
It's recommended to take the First Capital Connect to Alexandra Palace. Trains are every 15 minutes, the station is closer to the Palace than the Underground stop, and it's quicker and only a little more expensive than taking the Tube! You must buy a ticket before you board. Once you arrive, follow the walking route or catch the W3 bus from just outside the station.
Take the Piccadilly Line northbound to Wood Green, then follow the walking route or catch the W3 bus from just outside the station.
Use the official directions. There's ample parking space at Ally Pally but if you have a car / motorbike with an alarm you'll want to park as far away from the transmitter as possible as it interferes with them - parking attendants will direct you to a space. Park near the Palm Court entrance if you don't want a long walk.
Sandwiches, fruit and pizza will be supplied. There's a pub on site as well where people can go for a drink, but you almost certainly won't be able to bring that booze back into the main hall. There'll be a bunch of bottles of water.
Laptop. Power cord. Sleeping bag, toiletries etc if you're staying the night. Maybe a few bits of emergency sugar! Add your thoughts here.
Available, bring your own sleeping bag. There'll be plenty of soft bits for you to pull up on but we'll also be curtaining off a section of the hall where you can get a bit of quiet. Sanitary arrangements: there are a lot of loos and sinks, but it's unlikely that there are any showers. Camping outside is not allowed.
Free and available, but bring your own computer. Wi-Fi will only be available in the West Hall where the main event is.
Do i need a plug adapter for my laptop? How are the plugs in UK?
The plugs are three-pin, providing 240v. You may need an adaptor to make whatever plug you have look like this.
